Meet the Coach

I've been where you are.

Ronnie Hall competed his whole life. He also fought addiction. When his boxing gym closed down, his life got away from him.

His own words

The gym closed. Everything followed.

I wanted to do something for the state of West Virginia due to the fact we are number one in the nation struggling with addiction, broken homes, obesity. I'm on a mission to change lives.

What brought him back was faith. He went to college and earned a degree in recovery. Then he came back and opened this.

He isn't trying to make you a fighter. He's trying to hand you what he needed.

On the record
My mission is to change lives. If somebody comes in and has no faith at all, to give them tools to better their life — that they leave different every time they come into this building. Ronnie Hall · WBOY News
I wanted to do something with the boxing community outside the church. A lot of people in this gym will never go to a church, so boxing is the tool that I use to get them in here and share the gospel. Ronnie Hall · WBOY News
Most addictions start, if you trace it back, with the wrong circle of friends. Ronnie Hall · WDTV News

Why we're here

This gym is a sanctuary.

We win fights. We train hard. But the most beautiful thing that happens is when we connect after we train.

People here are going through all kinds of things. This is a safe place to talk about it.

People who never want to compete Some of the top fighters in the state Same room. Same respect.

The most important thing is that people leave feeling encouraged and important.
